If we look into the working or functioning of a country and deeply analyze the mechanisms that run a nation, we shall notice that all the policies, plans, rules as well as regulations are formulated targeting a collective goal of the country's peace and safety. Maintaining peace by proposing safe rules and regulations for all citizens to follow indiscriminately is an important step to take for a country’s political institutions as a matter of concern that lies under their jurisdiction and planning.
Worldwide peace
When being in a certain situation or experiencing a certain kind of thing disturbs the entire mental peace and stability of an individual, it is usually advised to avoid that scenario in order to preserve the peace which is precious. Likewise, the advice remains the same in the case of the whole nation and not just an individual. Political, legal, national, and international decisions must be taken to support the peace and stability measures that comply with the standards of the nation in all aspects. Here are some of the points to take care of while formulating rules that apply worldwide in order to maintain peace and stability at an international level-:
Working on negotiations
It’s not practical to think that problems may not arise at all while dealing with various issues of the countries. The main task is to move forward while trying to deal with the challenges and come up with the best solutions. One such solution can be to derive negotiations. At the time of ideological clashes or arguments, negotiations are the best way to end the matter by getting the best of solutions. Negotiating is a wise option as it helps in fostering peaceful interpersonal relations between nations, thus, promoting worldwide peace.
Understanding the ultimate need of the hour
At times when clashes and dilemmas occur between the decisions to be taken by two or more countries collectively, understanding the scenario with great depth is extremely crucial. Then the next important step after understanding what is to be done exactly is looking forward to the need of the hour. For instance, if two countries have an argument going on regarding the water crisis, the country that is in dire need of the resource should get preference over the one that is in less need comparatively. Such a solution should be reached so that the peace is not hampered at any cost.
Promoting betterment for all
One thing that must be kept in mind while taking any sort of decision on a political end that would impact the system of the country as well as its citizens is that it must be targeted to the overall betterment of all and not just be specified on projecting potential political, social, economic or financial gains.
Justice through the establishment of strong institutions
The citizens of any nation can only be granted just treatment irrespective of their gender, social status, economic standard, etc. when the institutions are built on the foundational bricks of honesty, truth, and righteousness. It’s extremely important for not only the policymakers or leaders of the nations to put justice at the top of their priority list but also for all of us to understand as well. Being the citizens, it's us who get impacted directly by all the decisions of our leaders, big or small. Therefore, it is our moral duty to present ideas that promote favorable and just notions as well as stand up and raise our voices against anything that goes wrong.
The United Nations Organization's primary motive since its establishment in 1945 is running and maintaining peacekeeping operations. Therefore, it leaves no stone unturned to encourage nations for walking on the path of generating a peaceful arena and promoting just decisions that are taken in favour of the countries’ and their citizens' welfare always.

According to me, a nation stands to be successful not just by the number of materialistic resources that it owns but the values and ethics it promotes. Nothing proves to be essentially useful if the citizens are unhappy or not satisfied with the country’s functioning. Short-term and materialistic benefits favored against long-term benefits that enhance values increase the debt of nations in ethical aspects.
