Ramesh Chaurasia-Good Health & Well Being
These words put forward by J.Stanford stand absolutely true for all of us to keep in mind and proceed with our lives. I truly agree with the idea of accounting health as the supreme source of wealth for a person to possess. No form of wealth in the world can overpower the richness of sound health. Now, it’s extremely important for all of us to understand the basic concept of health, which is at times interpreted in a skeptical way by many of us.
What is health and what does it actually mean for a person to be healthy?
Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of diseases, injuries, illness, and infirmity. This definition is formulated by the World Health Organization keeping in mind the various aspects of health and wellness in the lives of people all across the world. Therefore, a person is considered to be healthy when his physical, mental health, and social well-being are on a stable track.
In today’s time when we all are super busy to cope up with our hectic schedules, never-ending list of tasks to work on, managing our professional as well as personal lives in the best of ways, etc. it becomes a tedious activity to look after our own health and well-being.
The challenges exceed further due to the increased fear of catching infections, diseases, illness, etc because of the current health crisis that the world is facing, the heavy problem of pollution, unmanageable environmental chaos, and natural changes occurring all around us. Increased levels of stress and tensions invite chronic and certainly permanent health problems to deal with, like diabetes, unstable blood pressure, anxiety issues, depression, etc. The complicated and unhealthy routines that the system has set up for us to deal with add up to the complexities of maintaining our health and well-being in a stable manner.
The changing trends related to the maintenance of good health and well-being
After discussing the unprecedented amount of mess that needs to be sorted to keep our health and well-being under check, I want to shed some light on the scenario of changing trends related to the maintenance of good health and well-being.
The uber trends in the healthcare and well-being industry
The considerably young generation of millennials has set up their own modern and fresh rules to encourage fitness for themselves. For them, fitness is defined by following a number of diet plans, nutrition checklists, intense workout sessions, gym days, etc.
The ideas of fitness that were followed back in the days are now considered to be somehow outdated and old. Therefore, non-compliant in the new era.
The line of thought has gone under a drastic transformation which now encourages to have special and separate workout routines rather than exerting oneself by completing the regular household tasks.

Latest updates
It’s noticeable nowadays that sportspersons like Virat Kohli and Sania Nehwal perform in television advertisements and videos for brands selling healthy products like immunity boosters, protein shakes, supplements, etc. which stands highly attractive to youngsters and thus, push them to work more on their health and fitness.
To sum up
Such so-called cool and uber fitness trends have not failed to influence Gen-Z to think and act on a similar line of thought. In my opinion, these changing trends involve advanced methods to enhance the fitness levels of individuals in accordance with the current needs. However, completely subsiding the benefits of regular and popularly followed fitness trends back in the day is not worth it at all. Health is the most precious treasure one owns, we must keep it with utmost care.
